The files are compressed in a 15:1 ratio which is of low audio quality.
As such they are provided as reference for players/students who wish to learn the song.

To access it from Win 95, you need to ensure that .wav files that are downloaded are played by Sndrec32.exe . To do this check the player that
your browser is using for .wav files.(Netscape defaults to MPlayer.exe and I.E. 4.0 to amovie. Neither of these will play this file) You will have to manually set
Sndrec32.exe as the player for .wav files. in your browsers Options/Filetypes menu .
The TrueSpeech player can be downloaded from
http://www.dspg.com/; the files have a
*.tsp extension which point
to the *.wav file with the actual audio.
Note that this is not
a standard
Windows *.wav file, and has to be played with the TrueSpeech Player. True Speech supports MacIntosh
platforms as well; check their web page.
The player on Win3.1 works, but on slow machines (anything under 486) the sound may stutter so badly that it is unusable - the only option here is a processor upgrade. Some servers accept the .tsp format, and others do not. If your ISP does not support them, call them and ask them to ! They can do it easily if you request it.
